We will explain the easiest way to use the web version of Waifu2x.

It's quite simple, you just have to perform three steps to process the image you want.

  1. The first thing is to select the image you want from your device by clicking on the "Select Image" button. This will open a file selector for you to select the desired image from your device. Select the one you want and this selector will close to return to the web, where you can see the image already selected.
  2. Once the desired image is selected, we have to select whether we want to reduce the image noise or not. We have three options, "None", which will leave the image as is the original, "Medium", which will do a basic processing and reduce the image noise a bit and finally "High", which will place more emphasis on the processing and will further reduce the noise of the resulting image. It is normal to leave it in "Medium", since the "High" option may not give the best results depending on the original image.
  3. Finally, we have the option that gives the name to the web. This option allows us to select whether we want to enlarge the image or not.
The default option is "2x", which will basically enlarge the image to double the original size. The other option is "No", which will leave the image in the same size as the original. This is useful if we simply want to reduce the noise of the original image but without increasing it in size.

Once the image is selected and the other two options are configured, we can convert the image by clicking on the "Convert" button. This will start the image processing and once finished it will show us a window with the result where we can download our image in both PNG and JPG.

NOTE: It should be noted that the processing speed depends on how many people are using it at the same time. If we have too many images being processed at the same time, your image may take longer than normal. If this happens to you, you can try again.
